Meranda "Randy" Brown

Meranda Brown also known as Randy, CEO of RandyMakeup, is an established makeup artist who was born in Brooklyn, New York, but was raised and is still based out of Scarborough, Ontario. Randy grew up very shy but always knew she would be great someday, doing something she loved and was fiercely passionate about. However, makeup artistry wasn’t Randy’s first choice as a career. In fact, she rejected the whole idea because she feared she wouldn’t be good enough. It wasn’t until 2013, after having started MiMe's DollHouse in 2011, a Virgin Hair and Beauty company, with her sister-in law and working as a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant, did Randy finally decided to attend the Canadian Beauty College in Toronto, for the Makeup Artistry program. This was purely to add another service to MiMe’s DollHouse, but little did Randy know, eventfully she would grow to love the artistry of makeup and later go on to perusing her dream career as a makeup artist.

Randy has been trained in various areas of makeup artistry such as, colour theory, which can help determine a great foundation match for her clients, colour correcting, in depth bridal, theater, fashion editorial and special fx makeup. After completing her training, she began her career by assisting and providing makeup services for clients and founders at establishments and events such as CAMH (Centre for Addiction and Mental Health), Providence Healthcare’s Cuisine and Cuvee gala, Street Haven Women’s Shelter also doing makeup for local photoshoots, bridal, engagement and maternity and in 2016 RandyMakeup was established.

Randy has come to understand that “First you must realize your natural beauty before makeup can really be used to enhance that beauty. It is also not about covering up and hiding behind makeup, but rather using it to express the beauty from the inside out"
